The agent of Adrian Mutu believes Juventus must pay part of his client's £14.6 million fine to Chelsea. The Fiorentina striker was ordered to pay the fine after the CAS upheld FIFA's ruling for breach of contract.

"I believe Mutu has to give back the money he earned at Chelsea," said Mutu's agent Giovanni Becali.

"But the rest should be paid by Juventus."

Mutu was sacked by Chelsea in 2004 when he tested positive for cocaine, but the Blues complained when he joined Juventus following a drug ban.

"We will put Juventus and those that are responsible for this situation in a difficult position," Becali said.

Fabiano open to Serie A move

Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has not ruled out a future move to Serie A despite being let down by Milan this summer.

Reports claim Juventus are keen to lure Fabiano to Turin next June as a replacement for David Trezeguet, who recently announced he will leave the Bianconeri next summer.

"The market closed last week and it seems absurd to talk about transfers now," Fabiano's agent Jose Fuentes said.

"However, if there is an interest from an Italian club then we will sit down and listen. We have not had any direct contact with Juve so far, but it is an honour that such an important club is interested in Luis."

Tevez to miss Gunners clash

Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez will miss Saturday's Premier League game against Arsenal, manager Mark Hughes said.

The 25-year-old picked a knee injury while on international duty with Argentina, but City hope he will be ready to face Manchester United the following weekend.

"Our doctor has spoken to the Argentine medical people and the feeling is that he is out for the weekend so he will not play against Arsenal," Hughes said.

"The hope is that he will be okay for the derby, but we will have to determine that when he comes back."

Cisse fury at racist insults

Panathinaikos striker Djibril Cisse threatened to report Greek fans to UEFA following racist insults he received in a friendly in northern Greece at the weekend.

The 28-year-old French player was on the receiving end of remarks by a few spectators during the friendly between his team and Olympiakos Volos on Sunday.

"I didn't come to Greece to receive racist attacks and for fans to make monkey sounds every time I touched the ball," said Cisse.

"This is the first time in my career that I have been treated this way. What happened I will not allow to go unpunished."

Cisse scored in the match won by second division Olympiakos Volos 2-1.

Henry denies criticising coach

France captain Thierry Henry has denied criticising coach Raymond Domenech after a newspaper quoted the striker as saying the players were getting bored during training sessions.

Le Parisien reported that Henry had spoken to Domenech at France's training camp last Friday, the day before the team's World Cup qualification hopes were hit by a 1-1 draw at home to Romania.

It quoted Henry as telling Domenech: "We are getting bored during your training sessions. In 12 years with the French team, I have never been in such a situation."

Asked if he had said those words, Henry told reporters: "No. Nothing happened.

"We had a discussion as often happens between a team and coach."

Adler to replace Enke in goal

Goalkeeper Rene Adler will replace Robert Enke when Germany host Azerbaijan in a World Cup qualifier today, coach Joachim Loew said.

Enke, who had been picked to play in all three remaining qualifiers for Group Four leaders Germany, pulled out on Monday saying he was feeling ill and would undergo medical tests.

"We had decided until the end of the year (on Enke). But now Robert Enke is out due to an infection," Loew told reporters.

Adler, who made some spectacular saves in Germany's 2-0 win over South Africa in a friendly on Saturday, is vying for the World Cup spot with Enke, Tim Wiese and Manuel Neuer.

Rennes report City over poaching

Stade Rennes have reported Manchester City to FIFA for allegedly poaching teenaged defender Jeremy Helan.

"We reported Manchester City to FIFA on March 19," Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi said.

"Jeremy Helan had signed a two-year contract when he started at Clairefontaine and we are asking that his contract is respected."

City denied any wrongdoing, saying in a statement: "We are comfortable that we have acted within the rules throughout the process and in no way induced any breach of contract by Jeremy Helan."

Rennes reported City after Helan moved to England in January despite having signed a two-year contract with the Brittany side while he was at the French football academy in Clairefontaine.
