St Vincent de Paul home for the elderly will soon benefit from 208 extra beds.

The new wing in St Vincent de Paul will have 144 beds with special wards allocated for elderly people suffering from dementia while St Jean Antide home in Attard will have an extra 64 beds.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi provided details of the extension during an activity for the Independence Day celebrations in Ħamrun.
