Nave chapel restored

Restoration works on the nave chapel dedicated to the Martyrdom of St Maurice at Xagħra parish church have been completed. The paintings were restored by Emmanuel Zammit of Żejtun, while the gilding of the sculptural reliefs and stained glass was carried out by village craftsmen. The paintings are by Virginio Monti and were painted in 1930. The chapel was blessed by Bishop Nikol Cauchi.
