Legal secretaries qualification

Intel-Act, local representatives of the Institute of Legal Executives (Ilex), is offering a range of internationally approved legal secretarial qualifications, which are accredited by and included on the National Qualifications Framework.

These qualifications are in demand locally, as they provide the legal profession with the much needed professional support to ensure efficient operations.

Students can follow a Certificate for Legal Secretaries or a Diploma for Legal Studies. The certificate is divided into two units: legal word processing and working in the legal environment. It targets students who already possess a sound knowledge and understanding of administrative practices within the business and legal sectors but would need to develop their practical skills and knowledge to be able to work autonomously at a senior level.

The diploma is made up of advanced legal word processing and business skills in the legal environment.

For both qualifications, students would need to pass an externally set proof-reading test as well as a series of assignments.
