A 55-year-old Briton who resides in St Paul’s Bay was hospitalised following a traffic accident in the Coast Road, in Bahar ic-Caghaq early this morning.
The police said the man was a passenger in a Suzuki Vitara that was being driven by a 44-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay towards Kennedy Grove at around 4.30 a.m. The woman lost control and the car overturned and hit the wall on the left side of the road.
The woman was also injured but the police said her injuries were not life threatening.
Shortly afterwards, a Perodua Kelica that was being driven by a 46-year-old woman from Attard in the same direction crashed into the Suzuki.
The man and the woman had to be taken out of the Suzuki by Civil Protection Department officials.
Magistrate Giovanni Grixti is holding an inquiry.
