Impetuously, some night spot bouncers love to beat and overtake an unwary reveller. It is a piece of news everyone is weary of reading about. However, only the very serious of cases are reported.

Every weekend, some unfortunate person is beaten up for the most petty of reasons. Recently, I had to visit the emergency department on Saturday night/Sunday morning and I counted no fewer than four young men who claimed to have been injured by bouncers who had shown enormous zeal in the execution of their duties.

Is it not time to look into this dangerous situation for our youngsters and make entertainment spots safer places to go to?

May I suggest that night spot owners become personally liable and their trading licences revoked if people working in their premises (whether in direct employment or subcontracted) misbehave for the current lax attitude is nothing but criminal.
