Vinny Vella (August 28) follows the lemmings by attacking the government (presumably he meant traffic wardens) for receiving a fine when he parked in a bay marked "un/loading".

Mr Vella could do well to revise his knowledge of the parking laws as he should be aware that a bay marked in such a way is reserved for trade vehicles to load or unload goods and not for people to park to do their shopping or to "load" their son.

It is very easy to moan about wardens, and to accuse the government of stealing, but if one obeys parking rules, then one will not get fined.

Where I blame wardens is when they ignore vehicles parked on pavements, forcing pedestrians to walk into the road and damaging the pavement, and when vehicles are double-parked, thus creating obstruction and danger to passing traffic.
