Six attempts at stopping water leaks from a small plastic pipe were made in the last years/months. When heavy traffic uses our road, this and other plastic pipes leak water because they are too near the surface and, jagged pieces of stone, or aggregate, are left to pierce the plastic pipe. Surely, there is someone working with Enemalta who knows enough to bury these plastic pipes in concrete.

It is not in the contractors' interest to find a permanent solution.

A big W painted in red paint on the road indicates that the pipe is leaking water, again. It has been marked for three weeks; the area is green with algae!

Meantime, we are told and warned by well illustrated leaflets to be careful with water consumption because it costs the company millions of euros to produce "potable" water from sea water. They should be using this wasted money to give us the good quality water they have been promising us for years.

One could see the quality of water we pay a surcharge on when the under sink domestic reverse osmosis filters are renewed every six months.

Is there anybody out there?
