Six to be charged with drug trafficking and possession

Six men aged between 16 and 27 are to be charged with drug trafficking in the coming days.

The police said that over the weekend, it investigated six people it suspected were trafficking drugs in Paceville and Guardamangia.

On the night between Saturday and yesterday two young people aged 16 and 17 were found in possession of cannabis at an entertainment venue in Paceville.

A further 120 grammes of cannabis were later found in the 16 year old’s home. The police also discovered that ecstasy and cocaine were being used and cannabis was being trafficked.

Early yesterday, the police also found heroin, crack and cannabis at a Guardamangia apartment.

Four men were aged between 20 and 27 were arrested. They are resident in Guardamangia, Birkirkara and San Gwann.
