The marriage took place on Saturday, August 1, at St Patrick's church, Sliema, between WOJTEK, son of Dr Slawomir and Dr Barbara Sowicki of Gdynia, Poland, and JOHANNA, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Scicluna of The Gardens, St Julian's. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Claude Portelli. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Nathalie Anastasi and Dr Rafal Sowicki. The duties of best man were carried out by Dr Stuart Schembri, while Dr Gerhardt Attard, Dr Nicholas Refalo, Mr Wojciech Dec and Mr Samuel Scicluna acted as ushers. Attending the bride were Ms Christine Pace Lupi as bridesmaid and Mrs Sara Zammit as maid of honour. Master Ben Sowicki and Miss Ella Zammit acted as pageboy and flower-girl respectively. A reception was later held at the Bastion Pool, Hotel Phoenicia.
