• Today, Ghajnsielem celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Loreto. Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a pontifical Mass at 9 a.m. Canon George Bezzina will deliver the panegyric. The procession will leave the church at 7.30 p.m. accompanied by the St Joseph Band. The Leone Band will perform at Our Lady of Loreto Square at 8.30 p.m.
• An exhibition of contemporary abstract paintings by Rachel Galea is open today at the Banca Giuratale from 9 a.m. until noon. The exhibition closes on Wednesday. On weekdays it is open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
• On the occasion of the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, celebrated at Xaghra Basilica, the Victory Philharmonic Society will give a vocal and instrumental concert at Victory Square on Friday at 9.30 p.m.

VersAghtini Il-Kelma Maltija and the Ager Foundation are organising the Djaletti Festival. It will be held on Sunday 6th September at l-Gharb Folklor Museum in Gharb. People coming from fifferent Maltese and Gozitan villages will air their particular dialects. The festival will start at 11:00AM. Everyone is welcome. Free entrance. Further info. on 21667001
