Friends and colleagues of Desmond Vella, the young entrepreneur who lost his life after suffering a brain hemorrhage while on holiday in Cyprus, have been invited to his funeral by the family.

It is being held at the St Theresa Sanctuary in Birkirkara on Saturday at 9.30 a.m.

"Keeping in mind Desmond Vella’s unique style and his passion for life and fashion, it is not necessary to wear black," the family said.

Mr Vella, the owner of the popular outlet stores Exit, Miss Sixty, Shu and wine bar 222, passed away on Tuesday.

He left behind a wife and a four-year-old son.
