Photographs showing the state of the rubber dinghy which carried the Somali immigrants who landed at Wied il-Buni yesterday evening have been released by the Armed Forces of Malta.

The AFM said that one can clearly notice the very large volume of discarded items which include empty fuel and water cans, bottles, clothing, shoes and other litter.

These items, the AFM said, were conspicuously absent from the surveillance photograph released yesterday of a similar boat intercepted by the AFM in the Libyan SAR region on August 19.
