Two men were remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to theft.

Romario Muscat, 18, of St Paul’s Bay and Nicholas Abdilla, 20, of Paola were charged with snatching a handbag from Beatrice Grima in Bugibba on Saturday at 6.30 p.m.

They also pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring Ms Grima.

Mr Muscat was also charged with carrying a knife.
