• Today, Żebbuġ celebrates the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will concelebrate Mass at 9 a.m. Marches will be played at 11.30 a.m. At 7 p.m. a procession with the statue of Our Lady leaves the church, accompanied by the Santa Marija Band.

• An exhibition of works in papier mache by artist Charlie Camilleri at the Gozo Ministry Exhibition Hall, Victoria, is open today from 9 a.m. until noon. On weekdays, the opening hours are from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. The exhibition closes on Friday.

• An exhibition of contemporary abstract paintings by Rachel Galea is open at the Banca Giuratale today from 9 a.m. until noon. On weekdays the opening hours are from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. The exhibition will remain open until September 2.

• Christopher Saliba is exhibiting his works at St Ursola Hall at the Citadel today from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

• A yacht race by the Imperial Gozo Yacht Club will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. This event is being sponsored by Citadel Insurance plc. Those who would like to participate should contact the club on igyc@mail.com. The start line will be west of south Mġarr Harbour breakwater, and the finish line east of the small Mġarr Harbour breakwater as a line between the stripped green and white breakwater lantern and the outer edge of the Taċ-Ċawl Rock.
