Over 5,000 pupils aged between five and 10 have taken part in the e-tfal computer course offered for free during the summer in 55 local councils through the computer training company TCTC.
In each participating council, a classroom was set up with about 10 computers, and the course tutors taught the pupils subjects such as English, maths, science and geography through the use of computers, the internet and educational games.
The course work and lessons may be found on the website www.etfal.com. The website also features a number of links suitable for the children's ages, including fun crafts to do at home.
TCTC managing director Ray Abela said he was pleased with the course's success and turnout. All participants will now be receiving a certificate confirming their completion of the course.
