COST-CHRETIEN. On August 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, GLORIA, née Farrugia, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Noel, her brother Cecil Paul, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and very close friends - R.I.P. Mass praesente cadavere will be said on Monday at 8.30 a.m. at Balzan parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be appreciated.

SAMUEL. On August 19, at his residence, GEORGE, of Paceville, ex-Assistant Director of Education (Special Needs), aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Nanette, née Salnitro, his daughter Annalise, widow of Mark Lapira, his son Anthony, his sister-in-law Marie Salnitro, his cousin Richard Carbott and family, of Michigan, USA, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Millenium Chapel will be appreciated. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Mater Dei Hospital for their care and dedication.

VELLA. On August 19, at the Gozo General Hospital, MARIA, of Victoria, Gozo, aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Doris (ex-headmistress) and her husband Joe Cini, Carmen, widow of Joe Vella, Jane and her husband George Sacco, Josephine and her husband Joe Azzopardi, George and his wife Maria of Australia, Antoinette, architect Manwel Vella and his wife Maria, Joe and his wife Tessie, Mary and her husband Tony Sacco, Teresa and her husband Charlie Debono, Anna and her husband Mario Grima, Raymond and his wife Doreen of Canada, her brothers and sister, her brothers and sisters-in-law, amongst whom Mgr Girgor Vella, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, amongst whom Mgr Nikola Vella, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 5.15 p.m. for Republic Street from where it proceeds to St Mary's Cathedral, Victoria, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 6 p.m., followed by interment at St Mary's Cemetery, Victoria, Gozo. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

COLE - MAY, née D'Alessandro. Cherished memories of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother on the fourth anniversary of her demise. Sadly missed by her husband Henry, her children and their families.
