A drug addict who was caught breaking into a car when he was supposed to be under house arrest today admitted attempted theft, damaging the car and violating bail conditions, and was jailed for a year.

Bradley Carabott, 23 of Kalkara, had initially pleaded not guilty and insisted that he was on his way to a health centre because he was in pain.
