Clubclass, the Swieqi-based English-language school, has acquired the East Finchley School of English in London, its first school outside Malta, according to its website.
The London school, established in 1988, is accredited by EnglishUK and the British Council. It will be rebranded Clubclass London some time next year.
It can accommodate around 120 students at any one time and last year welcomed over 45 nationalities. The school currently has four full-time and three part-time teachers.
Clubclass, the only school in Malta that offers residential and tuition facilities housed within the same premises, has set about harmonising courses and operations with the Malta school. It has also launched an incentive that will make 200 two-week standard courses in General English at the school in London available for free when students book a course and accommodation package in Swieqi this summer.
Clubclass is a family business and a member of the Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations (Malta). This summer it has welcomed students from over 30 countries, including its first course participants from Algeria, Finland and Latvia.
