Celine Dion is pregnant again

Canadian singer Celine Dion is pregnant with her second child after undergoing fertility treatment at a clinic in New York, her press officer said yesterday.

Ms Dion, 41, is due to give birth next May, said her mouthpiece Muriel Blondeau.

Ms Dion, who has made no secret of her wish to have another child, already has an eight-year-old son, René-Charles, with husband René Angelil.

The star ended her Taking Chances world tour in February.

"Celine had said that, after her tour, she wanted to try again to have a child, and the good news came yesterday," Ms Blondeau said.

It's too early to know if the child is a boy or a girl, Ms Blondeau said. The fertility treatment Ms Dion used to become pregnant is the same procedure she used to have her first child, Ms Blondeau said.
