Obituary
SCERRI. On August 17, Giuseppina, of Rabat at Mater Dei Hospital, aged 80, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Paul and sisters Carmela, Mary, Bice, Georgina, Doris and Vivie, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
VELLA. On August 17, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, ĠEMMA (ex-Headmistress), passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Imelda, widow of Julian Calleja, her brother Hilary and his wife Carmen, Iris, widow of Ben Grech, Ivy and her husband Emanuel Cilia Debono and all her nephews and nieces, besides other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Mosta parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family vault at the Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
XUEREB. On August 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN, née Dalli, of Gudja, widow of Joseph, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Dr Tonio Xuereb and his wife Ann, Marchita and her husband, the Honourable Charlò Bonnici, her grandchildren Matthew, Nadine, Damian, Timothy, Rebecca and Yosef, her sister Catherine and her sister-in-law Georgina, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 7.45 a.m. for Gudja parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Gudja Cemetery.
