A Volkswagen Golf and a Landcruiser were destroyed in a fire in Triq Gulju, St paul's Bay last night.

The police said the case was reported at about 2.30 a.m.

Preliminary investigations showed this was arson.

The blaze was extinguished by fire-fighters of the Civil Protection Department. No one was injured.

A car belonging to a prison warder was similarly destroyed in a fire in Mqabba yesterday.
