Daniel Zammit and Stuart Psaila were named Team Members of the Month at the Hilton Malta in a revamped celebration held recently at the hotel's Quarter Deck Bar.
The guests at the award ceremony were all the team members who were mentioned for the quality of their service and commitment either by guests, colleagues or their heads of departments during the first five months of this year. The evening kicked off with welcome drinks and canapes prepared by the Hilton Malta bar and kitchen team.
All nominees for Employee of the Month received a certificate, with a special token of appreciation going to team members who received the most positive mentions from guests.
Kristen Obenauf from front office, Alastair Borg from restaurants, Fehmi Yalcin from the executive lounge and Dorianne Mifsud from housekeeping received recognition for the standard of service they set within their departments. The kitchen team's success in culinaria, and the high standards achieved during the Hilton Malta's internal cocktail competition were also celebrated.
The highlight of the evening was the naming of the Team Members of the Month.
Daniel Zammit from the engineering department won an award for his efforts in helping people less fortunate than himself.
Stuart Psaila was the kitchen team member most freqently mentioned on guest comment cards, and also received a lot of positive feedback posted on Tripadvisor.com in Hilton Malta reviews.
The Hilton Awards for Excellence are a way for the hotel management to thank its team members for the service they give throughout the year and to celebrate the hotel's success in maintaining its standard of service.
