I congratulate Joseph P. Borg on his endeavours to fight the residents' parking schemes in Malta (August 10) and I am in complete agreement with him.

His theory that we Maltese pay our road licence for all of Malta and Gozo is correct and, therefore, residents' parking schemes are discriminatory. I am ready to support Mr Borg unconditionally.
