SANT CASSIA. On August 8, in Melbourne, Australia, Captain, The Noble PHILIP SANT CASSIA. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Francis, Ann, Stephen and Joan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Antony, his sisters Josephine Cachia Caruana and Yvonne, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

VELLA. On August 10, PAUL, aged 65, passed away peacefully at his residence in Balzan. He leaves to mourn his loss his ever-loving wife Massie, née Pace, his only daughter Martina and her fiancé Marco, his brothers and sisters, Joe and his wife Anna, Bernardette and her husband Donald Spiteri, Anna, France and his wife Nina, his in-laws Mona Zammit, Stephanie Pace, Roseanne and Victor Licari, Norman Pace, Kristine and Norman Grima and Gloria Smith, several nephews and nieces and his many friends from Christ The King prayer group. The funeral takes place today with Mass praesente cadavere being celebrated at Balluta church, St Julians at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave close to the back entrance of the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Heart Foundation will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in peace.

VERTOLLI. On July 15, in Toronto, Canada, JENNIFER, née Camilleri, aged 55, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband Henry, her children Vanessa and Justin, her beloved grandchild, her father Joe Camilleri, her aunt Winnie Torpiano, her aunt Ina and her uncle Edgar Camilleri, her aunt Bianca Diss, her cousins and their families in Malta. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated on August 14 at 7 p.m. at St Julians parish church. Donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On August 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, NINETTE, née Tabone, of Cospicua, widow of John, aged 71, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joseph Tabone, her sisters Tessie Tabone and Carmen and her husband Prof. Edward Zammit, her nephews Dr David Zammit and his wife Jennifer, and Dr Jonathan Zammit, her grand nephew and niece Isaac and Miriam, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Collegiate church, Cospicua, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
