It seems to me that neither the area nor the atmosphere at the entrance to Valletta is suitable for Parliament. The sizeable historical area at Merchants Street at the back of the Auberge de Castille which used to house the G.P.O. could more economically and conveniently accommodate a respectable House of Commons not a House of Arrogance.

Alternatively, the Auberge d'Aragon or another historical building if preferred, could also provide the required space.

As regards the Royal Opera House, I keep insisting that we have absolutely no right to eliminate that historical monument, and immediate steps should be taken to have it re-erected in its entirety after obtaining financial help from our German friends who would be happy to see erected what the Nazis destroyed. As always also, our old friends would be happy to lend a helping hand to the George Cross island. The many tourists that visit us all through the year would certainly help the Opera House to operate without a loss.
