BORG. On August 9, GEORGE, from Żebbug, went to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 78. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Joseph and his wife Mona, Carmel and his wife Maria, David and his wife Josephine, Philip and his wife Maria, nephews, nieces, his brother and sisters, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan today at 3 p.m. for St Philip parish church, Żebbug, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Żebbug. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DESIRA. On August 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, Salvina, née Zammit, widow of Vincent Desira, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 88. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife May, Victor and his wife Maria, Lorry and his wife Anna, Carmen and her husband Joe and Lino and his wife Rita, their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3.30 p.m. for Żabbar parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated.

PSAILA. On August 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, John, former music sheet archivist of the Luqa Philharmonic Union, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn loss his wife Philippa, his children Josephine and her husband Lawrence, Rita and her husband Chris, residing in the UK, and Lina and her husband Mark, his brother and his wife's brothers and sisters, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends, especially from the Luqa Philharmonic Union Society Band Club, of which he was an active committee member. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at today 3.30 p.m. for St Andrew's parish church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., after which he will be accompanied by a cortege of the Luqa Philharmonic Union Band Club before interment in the family grave at the parish cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Movement would be appreciated.
