A couple of restaurant owners at Bay Square in Buġibba are flagrantly ignoring the Land Department's warnings not to set up tables and chairs beyond the limit as set by the government authority.

Such demonstrations in full view of tourists does a lot of harm to this industry. But how long can these suffering individuals continue in this situation seeing that the government authority by its inaction is siding with those who are contravening the law, before they are forced to take the law into their own hands?
Both Mario De Marco and Jason Azzopardi should look into the matter to avoid repercussions mainly due to omissions of duty by those who should have not permitted these illegal infringements, especially after having received photographic evidence ages ago.
