Rotary Club Malta residency handover

Rotary Club Malta recently held the handover of its presidency ceremony with outgoing president, Simon Bonello, giving way to new club president, John de Giorgio. The ceremony took place during a well-attended dinner on the terrace of The Villa at Hotel Le Meridien, St Julian's.

Rotary Club Malta enjoyed a busy and fruitful year during Mr Bonello's presidency, with a large number of projects undertaken within the community, the main one being the improvements to the theatre at Sannat School, Gozo, to enable children with special needs to participate in school plays and concerts. Rotary raised € 24,000 towards this project, with the Ministry for Gozo also contributing.

Mr de Giorgio outlined his objectives for the new Rotary year which will focus on projects in line with Rotary's mission as the world's largest service club.

Rotary Club Malta is a club of professionals and business people which undertakes projects within communities both locally and overseas. Projects are usually related to healthcare, the environment or education. Rotary Club Malta is in its 42nd year of service to the community.
