Clubhouse in Tigné to provide sports, leisure facilities

The Clubhouse, part of the Tigné Point project, will provide high quality sports and leisure facilities once it is completed. It is uniquely positioned to take in a wide-angled panorama of Marsamxett harbour, from Fort St Elmo in the east to Pietà Creek in the south.

Tigné Point will be home to around 420 resident families, as well as numerous businesses, offices, retail outlets and cultural and entertainment activities in the newly restored Fort Tigné. The two main apartment phases - Tigné South and Tigné North - have been designed to converge on the central Pjazza Tigné, which is to become the focal point of the development.

Two restaurants will be opening later this year, offering excellent cuisine and the spectacular views. These will include a large foreshore terrace, spread over 200 square metres, 10 metres above sea level, allowing for the extension of covers from 120 to 200.

The Clubhouse will host a health and leisure centre with a range of amenities, from fitness halls and dance studios to saunas and indoor pools and squash courts.

The Clubhouse and its facilities are intended to fit into the wider context of a self-contained residential area - to cater for both residents and commercial enterprises.
