Malta concerned about Jerusalem evictions
The Foreign Affairs Ministry has reiterated its serious concern at the "continued and unacceptable" evictions in east Jerusalem.
It specified in particular two families being evicted by Israeli authorities from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood on Sunday.
In a statement, Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said house demolitions, evictions and settlement activities in east Jerusalem were illegal under international law.
He said obstacles to the peace process were being created by the stubborn continuance of the building of settlements or expansion of existing settlements in the occupied territories and the demolition of homes and eviction of families from their residences.
"These actions are in breach of the Annapolis process undertakings and of the Quartet appeals to avoid provocative actions or measures by all stakeholders in the region," Dr Borg said.

Jan Galea, where are your Christian or Moral values?
Surely when we face problems like the continuous flow of illegal immigrants from the african shores ..we want other nations to care about our Problem ..but not to care about the poor people suffering in palestine, is very Un-Chrisitan indeed. Yes we should care about their problems as we live in a Small world. And Jan No Peace in the Holy Land Means one day we will all be enbroiled in somone else's problem, like being blown up to shreds visiting a country overseas, be it London or Madrid

Wish we had a minister like Dr. Tonio Borg sixty years ago when the whole Palestenain population faces forcibly eviction from their own lands.
Israel is the only ‘country-supposed belong to the civilized world’ that has no border and constantly defy heaps of UN resolutions. As a result, time passes and the victims of the victims of the Shoah (holocaust) are being occupied, beleaguered, apartheid, terorised and systemically annihilated for six decades with big powers endorsement so far.

Why not let these people sort their own problems surely we got enough on our plate and have enough trouble trying to sort our own - agree? or do we have to poke our noses in other peole's affair to make out we are big and strong and maybe attract more tourists to this little island.
