Best drug for sinful self
The feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord which fell on August 6 is the feast of hope and light. As Jesus was transfigured in front of his three chosen disciples, so we too, through Jesus, can be transfigured in his person and way of being. Jesus's attitudes are the best drug to treat our sinful self.
The best drug can be detected in Colossians 3: 12-17. The biblical prescription is clear and encouraging. "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Lord, give us the wisdom and courage to take this drug in the dosage you designed for us. In this way you will be the agent who transforms us mysteriously and wisely in your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.

I believe that everyperson has a limit of language. The limit of language seems to limit the thought process ( I believe)
When anyone transmits a message he has to operate on the boundary of this limit of the readers or listener's language . If we operate within the boundary, the reader normaly gets bored, if we operate outside the boundary the listener gets lost.
It is immpossible to operate beyond the limits of language, which is sometimes affected by language style.
During my stay in England I went to many different churches and they style their rituals according to the mentality of the audience. I do not like this but it appears that not everybody absorbs the contents of the Bible as it is written so the tact a religious man should use nowadays has to include a knowledge of language transfer.
It is like that unfortunately. It is the same with schools, the teacher must adjust accordingly. Even Christ used Parables to get the message through to his listeners.
I am not suggesting that the bible is sung as rap, but all those who teach must find new ways to project the ESSENCE .

Fr Mario just quoted the bible. The bible is as it is...you cannot change it. The comments that he wrote were that we to can be transformed like Jesus from our sinful self to a good self....a person living in Jesus. To do this we must put on Christ....we must put on love, kindness, compassion,meekness,patience...basically we must put on the fruits of the Holy spirit and to do this we must put on Christ. To put on Christ we must have a relationship with him and to do so we need to pray and spend time with Him like one spends with his best friends or spouse...so that the relationship grows...spend time talking with Him...telling Him your tribulations, your joy, asking forgiveness, praising and thanking Him.
So what is wrong with what Fr said?Don't need any language style...he said what he had to say and very clearly so.

To Fr Mario,
There are a few basic rules regarding the use of the language we speak or write with, so that we may capture tha attention of the reader or listener.
* the universe is all there is to describe.
* anything that can be said, must be said clearly or not at all.
* the simple facts are all the world there is for us.
* only that which can be expressed well can be taken seriously, and if what we write is beyond the limit of the reader's language we just cannot excite their thoughts.
* the possibility of going beyond the assets of one's language, simply does not exist.
* what and that we cannot speak or write about , then we must pass it over in silence, perhaps inner prayers.
Dear Fr Mario, I do appreciate your effort as a religious person, but the language must have the components I suggested, if the message is to go through.
I wonder if you have more comments if you hit the reader in this style. Wish you luck anyway.
