Children took a break from their activities this morning to greet Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi who paid them a visit.

The children are members of the Kidstart summer club, held at St Theresa Junior Lyceum in Mriehel.

In the classrooms, children showed off their art and craft skills and introduced the Prime Minister to their pet birds and rabbit, which they care for as part of a class.

The children asked Dr Gonzi about his personal life and the environment.

The Prime Minister appealed to them to help keep the country clean and be ambassadors for a cleaner environment through their behaviour. When asked whether he has a website, Dr Gonzi logged on to the OPM website and showed the children present his office through the virtual tour application.

To show their appreciation, they treated the Prime Minister to pastries they made.
