MFRA team in 2009 Referee Cup

A team representing the Malta Football Referees Association (MFRA) recently figured in the 2009 Referee Cup. The tournament was staged in the northern German city of Luneburg. This was the first time a team made up of Maltese referees took part in this international tournament which attracted entries from Austria, Finland, Germany, Holland and Luxembourg, among others. The MFRA selection played seven matches, winning three, drawing one and losing three to finish 11th out of 23 teams. The MFRA team's participation in the 2009 Referee Cup was supported by Air Malta.
