In an unsigned report carried on Friday, July 17, entitled Mixed Bag In A-Level Results, the table showed that the pass rate obtained by candidates sitting for Italian in May 2009 grades A-E (75.4 per cent) was worse than that obtained in May 2008 (79.5 per cent). In actual fact the correct figure for May 2008 was 72.7 per cent, therefore the students' performance was slightly better this year.
