Three divers have been treated in the decompression chamber at the Gozo General Hospital's Hyperbaric Unit since it was opened a year ago.

The Gozo Ministry yesterday marked the anniversary by organising an open day for diving schools, where divers were shown how the facility worked and the medical care on offer.

The unit, which cost €1.2 million, was installed using EU funds and is used to treat patients needing oxygen.
