One very odd thing about this road is its name. Somebody called it Marsascala bypass. Even officially it is called as such and that is wrong. This road does not bypass Marsascala. It bypasses Żabbar. In fact, it leads to Marsascala. The bypass is like the tangenziale for the Italians. The road passes around but does not enter into the town or city. Birkirkara bypass and St Paul's Bay bypass are correctly named.

I think it is about time this road at least before it is formally reopened after reconstruction, be given a proper name, if it is not called Żabbar bypass because in fact it actually bypasses Żabbar and not Marsascala.
