Utter disregard for Mdina pavement
Are the Mdina local council and the government authorities not aware of the damages and terrible state of the pavement on the left hand side of the cathedral? This damage must have been caused by some heavy vehicle or crane. I am sure that whoever it was had a permit to carry out works there and such permits are normally granted by the local council.
This pavement has now been in this disastrous state for at least a year if not more. And this after paving all Mdina roads at, I suppose, a heavy expense.
Is nobody responsible for the damage done to this pavement, which I think is the original pavement of the cathedral? Can we afford this neglect?
It seems the authorities never learn their lesson. Thousands of Maltese and tourists visit Mdina every day.

Is the Mdina Local Council obsolete? Or even without vision. After all the sacrifices the residents of MDina made so that finally it would be paved, now they are being the same to destroy what has been done, with a waste of public money. Take action now before it will be too late. Those who dont want to take action, resign from the council now.

This very morning I happened to be in Mdina. Thankfully tourist traffic was busy and the karrozzini were having a field day - in more ways than one. They speeded through the narrow streets nearly running over the throngs who were following the tour leaders. At one point one karrozzin coming up St.Peter's street with bell ringing nearly collided with another one galloping down the main street; the result was a stream of obscenities from both. Surely in such a small place as Mdina, karrrozzin traffic could be easily managed.
