The Nationalist Party has welcomed a motion by the Siggiewi council for public land, currently occupied by the Labour Party, to be passed on to the people of Siggiewi.
The motion, moved by deputy mayor Karol Aquilina, is for the land to be used for a public aim once the lease agreement with the PL expired at the end of the year.
The PN expressed its disapointment at the vote against the motion by the PL councillors. The PL preferred to retain this property and deny the people of Siggiewi from making the best use of it. They were placing partisan before national interest, it said.
