Betfair donated €3,000 to the Lifecycle team to buy equipment they would need for next week's feat that would see them cycle from Istanbul, in Turkey to Damascus, in Syria in aid of Mater Dei Hospital's Renal Unit.

This sum is in addition to another €25,000 it had donated as a title sponsorship.
