Victim could be partially paralysed, court hears

A man who was struck in the head with a bottle during a fight in a Marsa bar could end up with paralysis on the left side of his face, a court heard yesterday. The court heard that Steven Farrugia, 22, from Żurrieq, hit 19-year-old Asburn Micallef in the face with a bottle at a bar in an unprovoked incident on Friday night.

Mr Farrugia, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded in custody.
