Etienne Micallef, a Year 3 teacher from St Albert the Great College, Valletta, joined representatives from partner schools in Ireland, Lithuania, France and the UK for a final meeting in Cardiff, Wales, to evaluate the two-year Comenius project 'Euro Eco Kids'.
The project has been very effective in creating a positive attitude among the partner school students towards diversity and emotional wellbeing, developing an awarenesss of European and global environmental issues and lifestyles, sharing practice and expertise, as well as improving language skills.
During their time in Cardiff the representatives also visited the Techniquest science centre, Cardiff Bay, Mermaid Quay, the Welsh Millennium Centre, the Millenium Stadium and the Norwegian church where children's author Roald Dahl was baptised. They were also hosted to an evening at Cardiff Castle.
The local school's participation in the project was made possible though EU funding received through the European Union Programmes Unit.
