JMFS, Atlas Investment merge

Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Ltd and Atlas Investment Services Ltd are to merge, to form Atlas JMFS Investment Services Ltd.

Jean Gaffiero and Jesmond Mizzi will serve as joint managing directors and initially operate from their current offices in Abate Rigord Street, Ta' Xbiex and South Street, Valletta, respectively.

John Catania (operations director) and Mark Azzopardi (finance director) will serve as executive directors.

"Our combined track records, solid financial standing and reliability will greatly benefit our collective client base," the new company said in a statement.

Atlas Investment Services Ltd was established in 1996 and holds a Category 2 investment services licence issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority. It has mainly focused on high net worth investors, offering various services while acting as a member firm of the Malta Stock Exchange.

JMFS Ltd was set up in 2002 and holds a Category 2 investment services licence by the MFSA. The company has specialised in a comprehensive range of financial products and services designed to meet the needs of personal, corporate and institutional clients.

Three years ago, the company acquired the client base of a leading local financial services provider as part of its growth strategy.

The directors said the two companies had strengths and competencies in different areas of investment which were a pivotal factor in this merger.

With the combined human and financial resources, the company aimed to serve clients better, irrespective of their net asset worth.
