Statues of grandmasters at City Gate (4)
I refer to Renzo Piano's city plans.
Has anyone ever entered an old fortified city that has no gate? Has anyone ever entered an old city and found a Parliament in one of its limited open spaces? Has anyone entering an old city found a ruined opera house turned into what looks like an open-air tennis court?
After 60 years we will still be left with a ruined opera house and a city with no gate . Pity the Trojans are no longer around because they could enter even without their wooden horse.

I seriously Suggest that Our Friend Renzo and the PM, take a short visit to the Old City of Jerusalem, and the Old City of Damascus ..Perhaps they will only see one Breach ...only at Jaffa Gate nextto the Citadel, which has two Magnificent Towers on either side. I suggest that we two should have something like wise if we want to leave no Arch or gate!!!

"Pity the Trojans are no longer around because they could enter even without their wooden horse".
It wasn't the Trojans who came up with the idea of a wooden horse! Troy was being beseiged by the mainland Greek coalition and Ullyses suggested a huge wooden horse to breach the walls.
So the sentence should read: "Pity the Greeks ......."
