Malta U-18 maintained their unbeaten record in the European Championships Division C when they beat Moldova 61-39 at the Ta' Qali Pavilion last night.
It was another polished display from Bruno Dipietrantonio's boys who were again in dominant form. The hosts were in control from the outset and opened a commanding 15-point lead at the interval, 30-15.
The Moldovans' reaction failed to arrive and the Maltese, inspired by man-of-the-match Nigel Mifsud, who scored 21 points, eased home to a third successive win that put them on top of Group A.
Tomorrow Malta will play against Andorra for a place in the final. The other semi-final will be contested by Gibraltar and Moldova.
Other results: Wales vs Andorra 65-77; Monaco vs San Marino 79-72.
