I loved listening to architect Renzo Piano speaking about Valletta. He emphasised the need for civic pride, restoring our capital city's dignity, the magic of our islands and his love for Malta. It is this sense of pride that is able to break down barriers in this country, making way for commonalities rather than reinforcing divisions.
