I am just back from a funeral of a young woman, the daughter of a childhood friend. The church was so full that there were tens of people outside every door of the Attard parish church. Parking was so difficult that I had to walk over 10 minutes to get back to my car.
Unbelievably, wardens were seen giving out tickets to obviously badly parked cars, which, in the circumstances, had no other option. Like hunters in the night, these defenders of the public struck when the service was already under way and their catch could be plentiful.
What a service to the community and the country! Do these people have hearts? Do they sleep at night?
They should be fired for their pains and the Attard local council should hang their heads in shame or resign if they condone such action.
What compassion!
