As American talk-show host Oprah Winfrey's 14-day cruise came to an end she was entertained by a specially-developed multi-media show crafted by Powerhouse Ltd, a member of the local Synergix Events Group.

A day earlier, the enigmatic personality was in Malta, touring some of the island's most famous sites before returning on board the ship to begin her journey home alongside 1,600 of her employees and their families. The show, which took over four months to create, provided evening entertainment for all those on board.

The technologically advanced multi-media show combines six laser lights, a water screen, special screening materials and full high-definition projections.

The local company dreamt up an original story revolving around a character called Harpo - Oprah's company's name. In the story, Harpo travels to earth from his planet far away in search of something that he feels he is missing out on.

He begins his trek in Barcelona, before travelling to Rome, Sicily, Athens, Ismir, Istanbul, Santorini and Malta, meeting various eclectic characters along the way.

At the end of the show, various children from the audience - all dressed in white costumes - joined Harpo on stage as he turned into a child himself.
