Marie Claire Fonk, an IT student at Clear Dimension training centre, Cisco's regional academy in Malta, placed first out of all women participants from over 40 countries that took part in the 'International Net Riders' competition which was held across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The competition involved a one-hour multiple-choice quiz and practical networking tasks using Packet Tracer network simulation software.

Ms Fonk recently completed her CCNA Exploration at Clear Dimension, obtaining full marks in her Industry Standard exam, and was chosen to take part in the competition.

In January, Ms Fonk will be spending a week at the Cisco headquarters in San Jose, California, US, meeting senior executives, systems engineers, and experts from Cisco and other IT organisations.
