Air Malta and the Union of Cabin Crew have signed a new five-year collective agreement backdated to April 1, 2008, finally ending a long period of tense releations and industrial action.

The agreement includes provisions on financial increases tied to increased levels of productivity and flexibility.

Air Malta said it was pleased that after intense negotiations it achieved a comprehensive win-win agreement acceptable to both parties. As a result of this agreement passengers would continue benefitting from the value focused service available onboard Air Malta flights.

The agreement was announced and initialled last week.
